Coffee and frankincense eye cream is for wrinkles & puffy eyes. It helps with wrinkles and in fading dark circles and eye bags.
Coffee Infused Oil
Ingredients
- 3-4 T Coffee Grounds
- Sweet almond oil, olive oil or coconut oil
Method
- Add ground coffee to a jar, then add sweet almond oil, olive oil or coconut oil to cover the coffee grounds.
- Close ar tightly and let it sit in your cupboard for 4-5 days or a week to infuse.
- Strain as much of the infused oil as you can, using a cheesecloth into a clean jug or bowl.
You can keep the coffee infused oil in an airtight jar for about a year.
Eye Cream
Ingredients
- ½ t Beeswax
- 2 T Shea Butter
- 1 t Rosehip Seed oil
- 3 T Coffee infused oil
- 1t Vitamin E
- 7 drops Chamomile essential oil
- 10 drops Frankincense essential oil
Method
- Add beeswax and Shea Butter in a bowl, over a pot of boiling water. Stir until the Beeswax and Shea Butter is melted and combined.
- Remove from heat.
- Add Coffee-infused oil, Rosehip oil, Vitamin E and essential oils into the bowl and mix well.
- Store in airtight glass jar at room temperature, or keep in a refrigerator until it thickens.
How To Apply
- Coffee and frankincense eye cream will absorb better if applied to a clean face.
- Wash your face with a cleanser before applying the eye cream.
- Because this eye cream is oil-based, it might better for night use. It can also be used for day wear.
- Wash and dry your face, and apply any serums or toners you normally use.
- Your coffee and frankincense eye cream should be the last thing you apply.
- Pat the cream onto the area under your eye, and then gently massage your eye area with your fingertips.
- Sit back, relax, and allow your skin to absorb the cream.
Coffee and frankincense eye cream lasts for about obe year.
The mixture could take a couple of days to thicken at room temps, or up to several hours in the fridge.
Precautions
- Only use under your eye & always avoid the eyelids.
- Prevent water from entering the jar, to stop bacteria forming.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Do a patch test before applying.
- You should avoid shea butter if you have tree nut allergies.
